Although she was born in Brighton, Holly Willoughby was schooled at Burgess Hill School for Girls in West Sussex, and continued her education at The College of Richard Collyer. But it was the pre-teen series "Ministry of Mayhem" (2004) that would catapult her to national recognition. (The show's name was later changed to "Holly & Stephen's Saturday Showdown in part because of Holly Willoughby's popularity.) Other children's shows followed, including the reality show "Feel the Fear (2005) and "Stars in Their Eyes" (2004).

In regards to mainstream television, Holly Willoughby has worked as a presenter on "Celebrity Wrestling: Bring it On", "Greased Lightnin'", "The Xtra Factor", "Lip Service", "Streetmate", and "Celebrity Juice". Recently, Holly Willoughby was tapped to present the popular UK celebrity reality series "Dancing on Ice" (2006) on ITV.
